Welcome to the website of The Hackney and Leyton Sunday Football League, based in East London.

Our league has been running since 1946 and continues to be one of the most widely recognised grass roots football leagues in the UK.

The Hackney Marshes in East London is the venue of all our matches. Our league has seen several players reach the professional ranks and where on the Hackney Marshes heroes of English football from Bobby Moore to David Beckham learnt to play.

Wednesday 8th February 2012

- Sorry teams but there is quite a few changes to the fixtures for the 12th of February. Initially 5th of February's fixtures were going to stay the same but moved forward a week. However, there are teams that requested the week off prior so we have adjusted the fixtures for the 12th. Can you ALL please check back to see if your team is playing and the correct venue. Fixtures are good to go for 12th and the 19th.

Monday 6th February 2012
- All games from yesturday will now be moved to this week coming (12th February 2012). We are awaiting what happened with the LFA game with Clapton Rangers too.

- Future weeks fixtures that were originally put on the website might possibly just move a week further ahead but awaiting confirmation from Jermaine. More information to follow as soon as i get it.

The Lord Rookwood Rovers Vs Haggerston Nomads will now be back at the South March and NOT the North Marsh.

We have had a few probs with the south and north marsh relaying information quickly.

Firstly, apologies for the delay with the website. I have been away over the weekend (yep even web geeks need a little break now and again) but am back now and sorting the website out asap.

You have until next week 30th November 2011 to submit any back dated goalscorers. I will check they match your league table record so no sneaking in extras!.

Have opened up back dating your scorers for the last two weeks but next Wednesday is the final deadline. So if you are part of a team who visits this website check your relevant divisional goalscorers charts. If your team is not there or is missin goalscorers then please email me asap at leaguescorers@yahoo.co.uk and give me your team name, the division you play and your missing goalscorers full names.

I WILL NOT accept any more late acceptors or bulk submissions or back dated scorers after the 30th of November 2011.

Tuesday 15th November 2011
- As you are aware I am accepting goalscorers submissions for missing weeks for your team backdating from the start of the season. LEAGUE GOALS only not cup matches.

Some teams have take the opportunity to do this but I will remind you all that this leniency is only for this week and next.

Thereafter you will need to make sure to send them on a weekly basis yourself. I cannot accept "bulk" lists of scorers as and when you want to send them in.

But for the next two weeks I am happy to get emails with all your scorers. You can either send them for each match or just send a list of players and their totals. I will check it matches the league goals on the league tables so no trying to sneak the odd extras in there!

You all should know the rules regarding goalscorer submissions by now for the website and please be aware that the league officials you might hand your scorers too on a sunday are NOT handed to me. They are sent for the purpose of the Hackney Gazette and not the website. This is something I have done myself to add some interest for you guys on the website.

Monday 14th November 2011
- Have spoken with Jermaine and we have both agreed that if any teams have forgotten ANY LEAGUE scorers for this season so far then please submit them this week for inclusion.

To help me out though can you list the running totals for all your players

eg. D smith 5 goals, J Thomas 4 goals etc and so on. I will check it matches what is on the league table. Remember LEAGUE GAMES only not cup games.

And this week I will add ANY missing goalscorers from the first 9 weeks of the season.

- I have a pair of Adizero F50 boots (green and yellow) worn by Emmanuel Adebayor at yesturdays game between Fulham vs Spurs. His name stiched in and Togo flag on the back (with added grass from Craven Cottage). Thursday 29th September 2011
- Goalscorers updated for 25th of September. The goalscorers email is now turned off until 12:01pm Sunday. No doubt people will try emailing after 6pm today even though games were played on Sunday morning! Four days guys is enough time to do a 60 second task.

- I will be updating the goalscorers from 25th September's games at around 6pm today. So anyone that forgot to send their goalscorers from Sundays game then you have a few more hours.

I have put it very clear for ages and on the home page and across the site the rules regarding submitting your LEAGUE SCORERS.

Also on a further note in future can teams put which division their team is too as it makes it a bit easier than doubling checking back. I do know most teams and their divisions but makes it quicker for me.
