Sunday league football being played at The Hackney Marshes since 1946
Welcome to the website of The Hackney and Leyton Sunday Football League, based in East London.
Our league has been running since 1946 and continues to be one of the most widely recognised grass roots football leagues in the UK.
The Hackney Marshes in East London is the venue of all our matches. Our league has seen several players reach the professional ranks and where on the Hackney Marshes heroes of English football from Bobby Moore to David Beckham learnt to play.

September 1st 2010
Fixtures have been added for the 12th of September. There is only two matches scheduled for that week and they will both take place at Victoria Park.
Further fixtures for the 19th and beyond will be added to the website as and when I get them off Jermain Wright the fixtures secretary.

Just to let everyone know that KICK-OFFS this season for ALL games will be 10.30am. This includes all cup and league games at any venue. It will no longer be 11am kick-offs for league games. So to repeat ALL games this season will kick-off at 10.30am.

I am aware that some of the pages on the website are loading slower than the previous version of the site. I am working on an immediate fix to resolve this.

The season should be starting on the 12th of September.

Make sure that you inform all your players that the East Marsh WILL be used for games during the season. The ODA are providing spaces for approximately 80 cars and the entrance to the park will be further along the road more or less adjacent to pitch 11.
HOWEVER, You will have to change at the South Marsh and walk over to the East Marsh due to the changing facilities no longer being available at the East Marsh or change by your Est Marsh pitch.

The new website has been launched. Has taken me an awful lot of my spare time throughout the summer but I think it was much needed after the current design has been around for a couple of years.
There are currently 103 pages on the website and counting when you bear in new pages added to fixtures every week. And yes there really is 103 so save yourself counting them nerds!
