Tragic Loss Of Former General Secretary Angelina Walker - Taken From Us Too Early
By Hackney & Leyton Sunday Football League, Sep 19 2019 01:57PM
The league are devasted to relay the tragic news that the daugther of Chairman Johnnie Walker and former League General Secretary Angelina Walker passed away on Monday (16th Sept).
Angelina was a much loved and valued member of our League Committee - serving in various roles within the league and proving a useful aide to many of the committee members and teams with her vibrance and energy.
Angelina suffered a massive stroke and at the age of 54 years old there can be no words that can express not only our sorry but the unfair cruelty in life for someone to be taken away from us so suddenly when there was no signs of ill health prior.
Angleina leaves behind two sons who were her world and they must now find the inner strength to painstakingly continue their lifes without their much loved mum.
In times like this there is usually no words that can help family members to overcome the death of a loved one and they say time is a healer. Time does not heal the wounds, we just learn to make room for them while we continue in our lifes.
The League would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Walker family and friends of Angelina. And to know you have friends within the league that are here for you.
I am sure those within the league; officials, teams, players, staff would also express these views and in particular to our much loved and respected Chairmain Johnnie who after his own personal battle with recent illness now has to fight another battle dealing with the loss of his daughter.
The family have asked me to express their thanks and appreciation for all the warm heart-felt messages in such tragic circumstances that they have received.
