In his own words...

"...I joined the hackney and leyton in 1994/95 playing for Salisbury as a striker and right back. This love affair lasted for 7 years when I became secretary of Salisbury. Our only honours was runners up in the 2nd division during the season 1998/99.

In 2001/02 during my first season as secretary I was voted secretary of the year by the Hackney and Leyton committee and was asked to join the committee the following year of 2002/03 as a divisional rep.

I was still playing for Salisbury as a right back and during the following seaon 2003/04 I became assistant discipline secretary dishing out fines to all he clubs, a job I enjoyed. In season 2004/05 Salisbury folded and I now was doing a litlle refereeing as we were short at times. I remember team managers used to tell their players " he is the one who sends us all the fines boys".

I continued my post of Assistant Discipline Secretary until 2007 when I was asked to become Fixtures Secretary, a post I still hold today. In 2007 the league paid for me to complete my referees course which I passed successfully..."
